We live in an age where growing greens at home has been likened to printing your own money. With shortages and sky-rocketing prices, many have now developed a greater appreciation for these once taken for granted items from the produce shop. With good variety selection and a few useful tips, just about anyone can successfully grow their own leafy greens at home.
Join us for an informative session and open your eyes to an amazing variety of growing options, and find the path to printing your own green homegrown currency!
About the presenter: Jason Hauser is an Ipswich local with a background in applied health science and biological sciences with a focus on plant biology, plant pests and diseases, ecology and marine science. Jason’s mission is to provide new and experienced gardeners with the knowledge and skills they need to grow food for themselves, their family and their community. His focus is on perennial edible and fruiting plants with a special interest in natives and bush-tucker plants. Jason promotes low cost/low tech styles of gardening and he has a keen interest in sustainability. Jason also volunteers his time to assist with the management and/or promotion of various community groups including Ipswich Plant Swap and Mount Crosby Food Swap.
