Gardening – What to do and when?
DATE AND TIME
Saturday, 6 August 2022
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
DETAILS
This workshop is tailored specifically to the Ipswich region with accurate and seasonally correct advice on what you should be planting in your food gardens and which garden tasks you should be focussing your efforts on each season.
The workshop seeks to challenge your views around the typical seasons we already know, but most importantly will provide both new and experienced gardeners with the up-to-date guidance they need to be successful in a changing and increasingly challenging climate.
About the workshop presenter:- Jason Hauser is an Ipswich local with a background in applied health science, and biological sciences with focus on plant biology, plant pests and diseases, ecology and marine science. Jason’s mission is to provide new and experienced gardeners with the knowledge and skills they need to grow food for themselves, their family and their community. His focus is on perennial edible and fruiting plants with a special interest in natives and bush-tucker plants. Jason promotes low cost/low tech styles of gardening and he has a keen interest in sustainability. Jason also volunteers his time to assist with the management and/or promotion of various community groups including Ipswich Plant Swap and Mount Crosby Food Swap.
