These weekly classes take place on Mondays during the school term, from 9am-10am.
Classes are less about the asana (moving) part of yoga and more about the subtle practices that benefit the mind and nervous system.
We live in a busy world, and we spend so much of our life doing and going. This class is designed to give you time just to be. You will explore various breath and mindfulness techniques, creating a calmer and more conscious state of being. Don’t be fooled by the images of having to sit cross-legged to meditate, and you don’t have to sit and be silent the whole class. Come and try real-life techniques.
Open to everyone and all fitness abilities. Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one.
These classes are provided free, thanks to the Ipswich City Council’s Active and Healthy Ipswich Program.
