APAR HAIR STUDIO WIN BEST HAIRDRESSER POLL
Apar Hair Studio have won top spot in a recent poll conducted by Springfield News.
Vegan hair products and beautiful blonde hairdos have endeared a Springfield hair salon to its clients and earnt them the winning spot in our Most Popular Hairdresser poll.
Augustine Heights salon owner Charlene Rapa and her staff at Apar Hair Studio were a cut above the competition when the votes were counted from our Springfield News best hairdresser poll.
Ms Rapa, 35, said their commitment to sustainability in the salon was a big winner with their clients.
“We recycle almost everything from chemicals and plastics to haircut clippings,” Ms Rapa said.
“For example, the hair clippings go off to be processed into a product that helps mop up oil spills on the Great Barrier Reef and the chemicals are reprocessed into a product used on bitumen roads.
“We’re serious about sustainability here,” she said.
Ms Rapa said it wasn’t just a matter of opinion, blonde was definitely the favourite hair colour in Springfield, with blonde and balayage dos requested the most.
“We love the blonde look here,” Ms Rapa said.
Possibly the biggest winner with the clients was their use of vegan and Australian Made hair products, she said.
They had worked hard to become a vegan certified salon.
Two more salons that scored a high number of votes from the readers operate from the one address in Springfield — Daisy Chain Hair Design and Cha Cha Hair and Beauty.
The Commercial Drive salon is jam-packed with hairdressing talent when Daisy Chain boss Laura Harvey and Cha Cha’s Nicole Pearse and their staff are in action.
Together the three salons proved highly popular at the top of our poll.
